Life Is Short. Crochet More!
Wow, can you believe there are only two days left until Christmas? I hope those of you that crocheting my designs as gifts are finished. If not, you need to crochet like crazy. For those of you that purchased my Christmas crochet patterns, please e-mail me pictures of your little ones wearing the finished crochet garments. I would love to put them up on the customer gallery.
It’s now time to start working on those sweet spring crochet projects. I will be adding patterns of my spring collection soon.
Have a wonderful crochet day.
Good morning, crocheters. I have learned the hard way on this tip: when you are changing colors often, on a crochet project, leave an extra long tail on the changing color. This gives you yarn to use when crocheting a finished edge and you won’t have to work in as many tails when you are finished.
I hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday season. I also trust that you are crocheting some wonderful holiday gifts for loved ones. Everyone loves a beautiful handmade gift! Just remember, the days are ticking away, so crochet, crochet, crochet!
Good morning, Crocheters! I’m always amazed at how much texture you put into a crochet garment by simply using different combinations of single and double crochet. I encourage all you crocheters to play with this idea. Even if you have a pattern that calls for single crochet, try mixing up combinations of single and double crochet. It’s fun, ads interesting texture, and can make your work even more interesting. There is no end to the possibilities.
The dress I’m currently has a simple combination of single crochet, double crochet on one row, then reversing on the next row. It crazy how much fun texture this simple stitch adds.
Have a Wonderful Crochet Day!
Good morning, Crocheters. Well I’ve had a very busy week. I finally finished the Yarn Shops mailing and am waiting to see if I was successful on that front. (fingers crossed). I have also been visiting yarn shops in the Seattle metro area, and thrilled to say that 100% of the shops visited are going to carry my patterns. You can now find my patterns at Bad Woman Yarn www.badwomanyarn.com, Full Circle Yarnwww.fullcircle.seattle.citysearch.com, Seattle Yarn www.seattleyarn.com, and Harmony Yarn in Idaho www.harmony.yarn.com. It’s a small start, but very exciting! Of course, you can always find new patterns on my site!
Now enough of this business “stuff”….today I’m going to crochet! My 18 year old daughter wants one of the Choo Choo Hoodies in the worst way. Today I’m going to focus on crocheting it in her size. Hope you all have a wonderful crochet pattern to work on today as well.
Remember, Live is Short. Crochet More!
Hello, fellow yarn addicts. I’m hoping today is a milestone for my crochet pattern business. I’ve just completed my first mailing to about 250 yarn shops in the US and Canada. I should start getting responses within the next two to three days. I’m confident in the outcome, but can’t help but be a little nervous. I am very excited about the prospect of having my patterns in yarn shops so that all crocheters can have access to my crochet pattern designs. I’m also sending out an e-mail today to my subscribers so that they can get a sneek peak at my Christmas designs. Busy, busy, busy. Now, I just need more time to crochet!
Have a Great Crochet Day,
Good afternoon, crocheters. Today is a crazy cross-holiday (just made that up) day. I have spent the entire morning putting away Halloween decoratorations and finalizing my Christmas patterns. I am happy to announce that my boys Christmas Sweater and my girls Christmas Dress patterns are now on-line and ready for purchase. These two were so much fun to create! The little boy’s sweater has a large snowman head on the front, and the fun thing is the snowman head is a pocket. The little girls dress has a delightful snowfamily decorating the tree. You will see that these two new patterns definitely stay with my whimsical, colorful theme. I hope you like them!
Now, go crochet!
Good morning, fellow crocheters. I’m excited to report that I received my first order from Alaska today. I get excited every time I get a crochet pattern order from a new place. This order was for my Groovy Baby pattern. Didn’t expect that from Alaska since it’s so cold there. Today I am doing the final proof on the Christmas dress and sweater. If all goes well they will be online Sunday or Monday. I had to crunch so hard to get them up because, as we all know, Christmas will be here before we blink. I’m starting way ahead of time for Easter, that’s for sure.
Have a great crochet day…and remember… Life is Short. Crochet More!
Good morning, Crocheters. I received a lovely e-mail this morning from Margie. She purchased my Choo Choo Hoody crochet pattern and is crocheting one for each of her two young grandsons. Margie will send me pictures of the boys wearing their hoodys as soon as she finished the patterns. I can not wait to see them and post in my customer gallery. Just a reminder to you all, please send me pics of your wee ones in their crochet garments. I am building a customer photo gallery and would love to include your precious ones.
