This tone on tone flower pillow can easily be changed to match your decor. Simply choose the colors you love.
Pillow shown is 16 x 16” (40.6 x 40.6) cm, but can be made in any size you choose. Another great option is to make a series of pillows…one with roses only, one with dog wood flowers, and one with the large petal flowers. Start here, and let your creativity flow…
Degree of Difficulty
980 yards light worsted weight or heavy DK weight yarn in off white, or yarn color of your choice.
(780 yards for pillow, 200 yards for flowers)
16 x 16” pillow form, or size of your choice.
Large embroidery needle
5.0 mm crochet hook
4.5 mm crochet hook
Pillow pictured was crocheted with:
Base: Caron Simply Soft #9702 Off White
Flowers: Naturally Caron SPA #0007 Naturally.
Front: 1st row: *Sc in first st, Dc in next st*; repeat from * to * across row. Ch 1, turn.
2nd row: *Dc in first st, Sc in next st*; repeat from * to * across row. Ch 1, turn.
Pattern consists simply of alternating sc and dc across. On subsequent row, dc in sc of previous row, and sc in dc of previous row.
Back: Simple sc rows.
Pillow back consists of two pieces to allow for easy insert and removal of pillow form.
Crochet front, back pieces, and flowers separately attach together.
Attach flowers to front before attaching pillow pieces.).
Ruffle trim is added after pillow pieces are attached.
