This whimsical pillow will brighten your day.  Just one glance and you can’t help but smile. It’s also the perfect opportunity to use up remnant yarn and create a work of art in the process. Create as is, or choose the colors you love. Pillow shown is 14 x 14” (35.5 x 35.5) but can be made in any size you choose. Simply adjust length of tree limbs and add more or less owls. Let your creativity flow.     Degree of Difficulty Easy Materials 185 yards of bulky or medium worsted weight, in golden yellow. (Or yarn color of your choice). 185 yards of bulky or medium worsted weight in green. (Or yarn color of your choice). Remnants of DK, light worsted weight yarn in green, yellow, red, orange, blue, purple, turquoise or any colors you have available. 14 x 14” pillow form, or size of your choice. Large embroidery needle 5.0 mm crochet hook 4.0 mm crochet hook 3.25 mm crochet hook Pillow pictured was crocheted with: Front: Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton #158 Mustard. Back: Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton #170 Pistachio. Tree: Cascade Pima / Tencel #8503 Rust Owls: Remnants of Cascade Pima Tencel, Rowen Lenpur Linen, Cascade Cotton Rich. Leaves: Naturally Caron Country #0012 Foliage Pattern Stitch Front: 1st row: *Sc in first st, Dc in next st*; repeat from * to * across row. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: *Dc in first st, Sc in next st*; repeat from * to * across row. Ch 1, turn. Pattern consists simply of alternating sc and dc across. On subsequent row, dc in sc of previous row, and sc in dc of previous row. Back: Simple sc rows. Helpful Info Crochet front, back, and embellishment pieces separately and attach together.
